Serafini Lab

Beatrice Raviolo
Beatrice earned her Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology from the University of Turin, where she conducted her experimental thesis at the SynBioMed laboratory under the supervision of Prof. Massimo Bertinaria. Her research focused on the design, synthesis and metabolic stability characterization of novel NLRP3 inhibitors for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
After graduation, she joined Prof. Hannes Mikula’s laboratory at TU Wien (Technical University of Vienna) for a three-month research stay, where she expanded her expertise in bioorthogonal chemistry through hands-on experience in organic synthesis and advanced analytical techniques.
In November 2026, she joined the lab as PhD student with a project on in situ self-assembly of bifunctional molecules.
