Sara Boumya
Sara studied Biology at the University of Piemonte Orientale (Italy), and obtained her Ph.D. in 2023 from the same university, working on the role of aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A3 (ALDH1A3) in mesothelioma.
She then moved to the University of Torino as a postdoctoral researcher, studying the use of beta-caryophyllene in NAFLD. In 2024, she joined the lab of Prof. Genazzani at the Department of Drug Science and Technology and she is working on hypoxia in collaboration with the group.
